The party's over........
Well that's it!
After a fun packed and interesting cultural visit, we finally arrived home.
Our last day saw a weird but visually stunning visit to the Dali museum and then a few hours to let off steam at the water park. The plane journey home was quieter as pupils caught up with some sleep! Our arrival to a chilly Merseyside was welcome as thoughts turned to families and loved ones.
On that note the staff will say Gracias and adios amigos!
Final Day
Everyone was up early reay for the last day of the trip. With the suitcases packed and an early breakfast finished both students and staff left the hotel for the last time.
Once on the coach we headed to the Dali museum to explore an array of his works ranging from pictures and paintings to large scale sculptures. After taking in the culture on offer we made our way back towards Barcelona to enjoy ourselves at Waterworld, Lloret de Mar.
Bags were quikcly stored away as the students enjoyed themselves on a number of water slides and rides. Time flew quickly and at 17.30 we finally bored the coach to make our last trip in Spain, to the Airport, everyone has had a busy but wonderful week.
Stayed tuned for Day 5 pictures and comments from the pupils themselves.
Many thanks!!

Nearly there...!
Hello parents and colleagues,
Today (Thursday) we went to Port Aventura near Salou, about an hours drive from Barcelona.
The pupils were in high spirits on the trip down, singing and asking for Janet to give them a wave....... Which she did to rapturous applause!
The park was fantastico! Plenty of rides for all of us ranging from Teacups to the terrifying Shambala which, quite literally, felt like you were on top of the world ( if only for a second, before you plunged toward the ground at 80 mph!)
The weather was glorious and there were plenty of opportunities for refreshments, food, shopping and a leisurely stroll around the different themed areas within the park.
Pupils were a credit and we all left tired but having had a really great day!
Another hop along the coast back to Barca took us to the Magic Fountain where we watched the water fountain dance and weave its magic to a receptive audience of thousands crammed into a beautiful park area.
A few stops along the very clean and punctual Metro saw us back on La Rambla to have supper before retiring for the night to pack and tidy rooms.........
A long day awaits us tomorrow with visits to the Dali Museum and then the water park at Lloret de mar before (sadly) making our way back to the Airport for our return flight home.
We will try to blog again tomorrow before we take off, apologies in advance if we are unable to due to wi fi issues!

What a very long day!
As day 3 commenced pupils and staff were excited at the prospect of seeing more of attractions that Barcelona had to offer.
The day began with a quick trip on the Metro train service to Sagrada Familiar, our group booking was later then desired so we had the opportunity to visit the location shops and eat some food as the day ahead was jam packed.
After taking in the breath taking architecture of the famous church and experiencing the enormous church from within it's wall the students were taken to the next stage of their trip. From there we proceeded to make our way to the Miro Foundation and experience the world of modern art. Once the pupils had discussed the merits of what constituted art to them the party had the exciting prospect of seeing the city from above during a cable car ride to the beach.
With time up against us and the heat still in the 30's we quickly moved from the beach to the Barcelona Aquarium were we settled down for some food before entering the Aquarium itself.
The pupils enjoyed the opportunity to see many variations of sea creatures with a guest appearance of a 'Little Yellow Fish'! Lucky for us the daylight was still making the idea of visited the beach for a longer period an attractive prospect. Once there the pupils enjoyed some free time, sunbathing, socialising and playing either Football or Frisbee.
As the daylight dwindled we headed back across the city to our hotel, with weary legs and heads widely seen the pupils still managed to smile and we all look forward to tomorrow's adventures at Port Aventura theme park.

La Rambla
Tuesday night saw pupils dine in style at Hard Rock Cafe amongst memorabilia from U2 and David Bowie!
We then set off for La Rambla where Barca people stroll in the early evening sunshine, and the enticing smells from a myriad of restaurants and Tapas bars assault the senses.
Pupils enjoyed the freedom to shop and barter with the vendors for souvenirs and goodies to bring home.
All tucked up in bed now, very busy day tomorrow, personally, my favourite will be the Aquarium......
Mums and Dads, all pupils are well!
See you all soon.
