La Rambla

Tuesday night saw pupils dine in style at Hard Rock Cafe amongst memorabilia from U2 and David Bowie! We then set off for La Rambla where Barca people stroll in the early evening sunshine, and the enticing smells from a myriad of restaurants and Tapas bars assault the senses. Pupils enjoyed the freedom to shop and barter with the vendors for souvenirs and goodies to bring home. All tucked up in bed now, very busy day tomorrow, personally, my favourite will be the Aquarium...... Mums and Dads, all pupils are well! See you all soon. Mr Hartley

Nou Camp Tour

Well, that's it! What can I say except Wow! Having only seen the stadium on the TV (when Man Utd won in 1999)the real thing is much more impressive. Built in 1957 the stadium is a concrete homage to sport. People call Old Trafford the theatre of dreams, well the Camp Nou must surely be up there alongside other great stadia across Europe full of aspiration and history. Legends are made here in Barcelona, the city, as one, are so supportive of not just the football team but also the Basketball, softball and hockey teams that also play in the familiar stripes. Our tour of the facilities was a real highlight, pupils saw the rich history and a trophy cabinet that every Premier League team would give their right arm for! To walk up a short flight of steps to view the pitch where Lionel Messi goes to work almost takes your breath away as you view the rake and height of the stands, your mind trying to imagine what match day must be like, the noise, the atmosphere, the crowd, as one, shouting BARCA! Pics to follow Mr Hartley

Hot hot hot!

Having a hot day, everyone is fine, if rather sweaty! Having a short rest, then off to the Hard Rock Cafe.
